I will, however, begin with a little background information on myself. I am a 28 year old mother of 3. I have a daughter and two sons. I am married and, as a result of that, I also have a stepson who is 14 years older than our youngest child. I love music, and reading, and writing, and dancing, and singing... pretty much anything to do with the arts. My family is a very artistic family, from my mother with the voice of an angel, to my father the musician and painter. Beginning at a fairly early age, I always had a camera in my hand. I believe it started when I was twelve. Back then, I was only given disposable cameras, but I believe my grandmother spent so much on these cameras and getting the film developed that she probably could have just purchased a "good" camera. However, I was (and still am) pretty much in my own world, so disposables tended to be less of a risk, as I was likely to lose it.
I really discovered a love for photography when, like many other women, I had my first child. When Harley was born, I took pictures of EVERYTHING. The child had a camera on her (literally) from the second she was born. ((The birth photos were courtesy of her aunt, and my "mentor" of sorts, Erin- now of Sixpence Photography. You can check her out here.)) My love of capturing every little moment has only grown as my children have and now I want to share that with others.
As your photographer, I want to capture the little moments in between the "posed" pictures, in order to truly showcase your personality and the relationship that exists between you and your family/loved ones. I find that it's those moments (when you think the camera isn't clicking) that the best photographs are taken- when you're just being yourself.
I look forward to hearing your ideas and incorporating your own personal style into your session.
